Please, Don’t Cry TO Me

Please, do not cry to me

I have but a question

Fret not, this is no lesson

Why now dear?

Would you rather you had me near?

Is it now you remember I care?

Please, do not cry to me

I begged you to let me stay

After you pushed me out of the way

You wouldn’t listen

You refused to see reason,

You had made your decision

Please, don’t cry to me

I stood and watched you that day;

That very black Sunday

With your back to me

No matter how much I cried and wailed

No matter the number of times I begged that day

Please, don’t cry to me,

To you, I had no worth

It meant nothing to you, not even my death

I was not needed, not wanted

You held open the door of your heart

For me to step out

Please, don’t cry to me

Now you’ve lost everything

All you have is eternal damnation

I meant something, now you realise

Again I have but a question,

A little too late, isn’t it?

A penny for your thoughts…

This is how it is going to be for some people on judgement day, when God looks at them and says, “A little too late, isn’t it? He’s come begging at the door of our hearts many times yet we turn him away.

Honestly, I wrote this with a different mindset but, when I was finished, He asked me to read what I’d written, then He said to me, “This is how many of my children will come, crying to me… and this, is the kind of reaction they will receive because, on that day, no amount of tears will do anybody any good.

I know a lot of people would think this is a love poem of some sort, talking about how people wait till it’s too late to say sorry. Well, indeed it is a love story. The love story of a bridegroom who will come in all his glory and how He turns away some bride just because she wanted to ‘fit in’ or because she chose to become something she was not or because she chose not to forgive or because of, sadly, her unbelief.

People! The time we have is shorter than we could ever imagine. Let’s stop marking time when we have to be plucking the fruit from the harvest. Let’s stop sleeping and stay awake. The enemy can’t keep sowing thorns and thistles in our backyard, our very own backyard!!!

You can hate all you want, be upset all you want but what I have to say is simple, What I AM sends me to say, THAT I deliver.
